Mumbai: Former Pakistan skipper Salim Malik today vowed that he will fight till the end for being made a "scapegoat" by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Malik has denied any involvement involved in match fixing at any time of his career. "Former India skipper Mohammed Azharuddin and I were made scapegoats as our careers were coming to an end and our respective boards knew that there was not much cricket left in us," Malik said. "The International Cricket Council (ICC) wants to scrutinise only those matches where teams from Asia are involved but turned a blind eye when Zimbabwe beat England in the early 90s and when the West Indians were bundled out for 54 against England recently," he added. "Probably, if we were to be white skinned, then there may not have been so much of scrutiny for instance like leg spinner Shane Warne of Australia is still playing so is South Africa's opening batsman Herschelle Gibbs," Malik claimed. Talking about his visit to India, Malik said, "I am here to rope in a few film stars like Sunil Shetty and others for a fund-raising show in Karachi and Lahore for Pakistan Football Association (PFA)."
