New Delhi:Nothing less than a championship victory for India in the tri series, which starts on Saturday, tops the birthday wishlist of coach Greg Chappell. The former Australian great, who turns 57 on August 7, the day India takes on West Indies, says that winning the series could serve as a perfect birthday gift for him. Right now though, he is busy solving the opening puzzle and drawing out a winning game plan for the Indians. "We have not settled down on anything at this stage. We are more interested at looking at the flexibility of the batting order and depending on the conditions, the opponent and the situation of the game, might use two to three different combinations throughout the series," said Chappell. India have won just 9 out of the 30 one-dayers it has played against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. This time reaching the final of the tri-series may not be a problem with a weakened West Indies side as the third team. "We have had more of a chance to look at the Sri Lankan team because the players are better known to us. Some of the West Indian players are new to us. We saw a bit of them during the Test matches. But, I think, at this stage, we are more focussed on getting our house in order," said Chappell. Another competition expected to be fought could be that among the three coaches of the team, though Chappell rules out any such confrontation on the cards. "It is not a match between the three coaches. It is a match between the three teams. No doubt, we will be very cordial but will be very busy doing what we have got to do so I don't think it is an issue," he said. Batting order apart, Greg Chappell also has some worries in terms of various niggling injuries to VVS Laxman, MS Dhoni and Mohammad Kaif. However none of the injuries are believed to be serious.
