India has had innumerable bowling problems during the one day series in Pakistan. The bowlers had conceded nearly 300 runs in most of the matches so far. But the team will certainly get a boost in the bowling department with the return of Anil Kumble and Ajit Agarkar, both being declared fit for the Test series in Pakistan. Training for the Big Fight For the past six weeks, Agarkar has been recovering from a stress fracture on his leg, an injury he suffered during India's tour of Australia. Agarkar is now concentrating on his fitness before leaving for Pakistan. "I went there in 1998 with the A team and probably the conditions are same. I've not bowled for a month or so and just trying to play a couple of friendly matches in Bombay and get the match fitness going," said Agarkar. Agarkar had a great series in Australia. He picked up 16 wickets including a haul of 6 for 41 in the second innings of the Adelaide Test – a feat which made a historical win, possible for India. Confidence and class Besides the wickets being more suited to his style of bowling, Agarkar also attributes his form to the fact that he was able to play some continuous Test matches in a series, thereby develop some rhythm in his bowling. "The experience teaches you a lot of things how to handle different situations differently. When you're a little inexperienced you probably do things rashly but with experience you have a better idea of handling a situation during a game. And that's what probably changed my cricket over the years," said Agarkar. Although the conditions in Pakistan will be very different from Australia, Ajit Agarkar is confident of doing well in the Test series. As the Bombay bowler says, he has played in subcontinent conditions all his life and he hopes that the experience and confidence which he has gained in the past year will help him in Pakistan.
