Cameron presents Sachin Tendulkar with special photo from British government

The British government has sent a special gift to Sachin Tendulkar, a photo of the Little Master coming off the Manchester ground after scoring his first Test century in 1990, at the age of 17.

Mumbai: British Prime Minister David Cameron hailed Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday and said that the legendary cricketer has been an inspiration to youngsters. Tendulkar - playing his 200th and final Test at Wankhede, against West Indies - has dominated the sport for close to 24 years.

Cameron raved about the Indian cricketer and said that he is one of the greatest of all times. "In terms of being an inspiration to youngsters, Sachin is the greatest of all times," he said.

The British government also sent a special gift to the Little Master - a photo of Tendulkar coming off the Manchester ground after scoring his first Test century in 1999, at the age of 17. The cricketer has since hit several tons and played spectacular innings in a career of 200 Tests and 463 ODIs.

Tributes and praises have been pouring in for Tendulkar. International players, musicians, actors and a host of other public figures have sent their wishes to the player for his final Test and life ahead. Among them Mick Jagger tweeted: "Saluting you @sachin_rt on your last Test match. Thanks for all the wonderful cricket you've shown us over the last 25 years, we'll miss you" (In pics: Stars tweet their wishes for Sachin, the real superstar)
