Mumbai:
The Tour and Programmes committee of the BCCI met in Mumbai today to discuss the upcoming domestic season. The season begins on October 1 with the Irani Trophy between Railways and the Rest of India. This will be followed by the Challengers and Deodhar Trophy tournaments. The Ranji Trophy Elite Group will begin in November. The Committee also finalised the Elite and Plate groups for various tournaments. In preparation for the Under 19 World Cup, India will host the Australian Under 19 squad for five one-day matches in September. There will also be an Asian Under-19 one-day tournament with India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in November. The sixth team in the Deodhar Trophy will still be a visiting team and not a team comprised by the National Cricket Academy or the NCA as was suggested earlier.Topics mentioned in this article
