Sydney: Australia's Mathew Hayden and Justin Langer are said to be the best openers in Test cricket right now, yet in the series against India they've managed a best stand of 73 from the first three Tests. And it is the other opening pair of Virender Sehwag and Akash Chopra that have made history by becoming the first Indian pair to put on century stands in consecutive Tests overseas. Openers need patience, technique and a bit of luck. And Sehwag had his share in Melbourne while Chopra had some in Sydney. The latest opening pair in Indian cricket now has three century stands from 11 innings. In just the 6th Test they are playing together, the duo shares an average opening stand of 64 in Australia.
