Sri Lanka puts Zimbabwe to bat
The new-look Zimbabwe team was put in to bat today by Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu after he won the toss at Queens Sports Club.

Bulawayo: The new-look Zimbabwe team was put in to bat today by Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu after he won the toss at Queens Sports Club in the first of five one-day internationals. The Zimbabweans are fielding 10 black or mixed-race players in the lineup after 15 white professionals went on strike over the sacking of former captain Heath Streak. The only white player in the match is Brendan Taylor who will open the batting for Zimbabwe with Vusimusi Sibanda. Teams: Zimbabwe: Tatenda Taibu (captain), Dion Ebrahim, Vusi Sibanda, Alester Maregwede, Douglas Hondo, Mluleki Nkala, Brendan Taylor, Stuart Matsikenyere, Tinashe Panyangara, Prosper Utseya, Elton Chigumbura. Sri Lanka: Marvan Atapattu (captain), Mahela Jayawardene, Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumara Sangakkara, Dilshan Tillakaratne, Russel Arnold, Upul Chandana, Chaminda Vaas, Nuwan Zoysa, Muttiah Muralitharan, Nuwan Kulasekera.
