New Delhi: Sri Lanka managed to draw the final Test against Pakistan with minimum discomfort on Thursday to seal the series 1-0 and claim the trophy. A look at the statistical highlights from the final day's play at Pallekele.

# Kumar Sangakkara's aggregate of 2320 at an average of 89.23 in 16 Tests is a record against Pakistan.

# Sangakkara has totalled 490 runs at an average of 163.33 in the recently concluded series -  his second best performance in terms of runs' tally, next only to the 516 (ave.86.00) against Pakistan in UAE in 2011-12.

# Sangakkara's aforesaid tally is the highest by a Sri Lankan player in a Test series against Pakistan in Sri Lanka.  The said aggregate is the fifth highest by a Sri Lankan batsman in a Test series.

# Adnan's unbeaten 35 is the highest individual innings by number ten batsman for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.

# Rangana Herath has captured 35 wickets at 24.97 runs apiece, including three five-wicket hauls, in six Tests this year.  The said tally is the second highest in 2012, next only to the 39 (ave.20.56) in six Tests by Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal.

# Herath's excellent match figures of seven for 139 are his best in a Test match at Pallekele.  He is the first bowler to capture seven wickets in a Test match at this venue.

# Herath's tally of 15 (ave.28.33) wickets is the best by a Sri Lankan bowler in the just concluded Test series.

# Asad Shafiq has received his first Man of the Match award in Tests.

# Asad Shafiq's unbeaten 100 is his first hundred against Sri Lanka - his second in Tests.  His best ever is 104 against Bangladesh at Chittagong in December last year.

# Asad has recorded a hundred and a fifty for the first time in the same Test match - 75 & 100 not out.

# Asad is averaging 51.83 in drawn games - 311 runs in nine innings, three times not out.  His tally includes a hundred and two fifties.

# Asad and Adnan Akmal were involved in a stand of 81 (unbroken) for the ninth wicket - Pakistan's highest against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.  The said partnership is the third highest for Pakistan for the ninth wicket against Sri Lanka in Tests - the highest is 145 between Wasim Akram and Younis Khan at Rawalpindi in February 2000.

# All the three Test matches at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium have been drawn - vs. West Indies in 2010-11; vs. Australia in 2011-12 and vs. Pakistan in 2012.

# Sri Lanka have won consecutive Test series against Pakistan in Sri Lanka for the first time.  They had won the 2009 series by 2-0.

# Sri Lanka have won their first series since defeating New Zealand by 2-0 at home in August 2009.  Before their series triumph over Pakistan today, they had played eight Test series without a win, losing five and drawing the remaining three.

# Since losing to England 1-3 in 2010, Pakistan have suffered their first series defeat.  Before losing the 2012 series to Sri Lanka, Pakistan had won four in succession - vs. Zimbabwe in 2011, vs. Sri Lanka, vs. Bangladesh and vs. England - all three in 2011-12.

# Dinesh Chandimal (65) has recorded a career-best in Tests, bettering the 58 against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban in December 2011.

# Chandimal's first half-century against Pakistan is his third in Tests.

# Kumar Sangakkara's unbeaten 74 is his eighth fifty against Pakistan - his 39th in Tests.  The said innings is his highest at Pallekele, surpassing the 69 against Australia in September 2011.

# Sangakkara (9 centuries and eight fifties) has equalled Sunil Gavaskar's tally of 17 fifties (five centuries and 12 fifties) against Pakistan.

# Sangakkara has received the Player of the Series award for the second time - both times against Pakistan - in 2011-12 and 2012.
