New Delhi: Recently retired cricketer Rahul Dravid has rubbished claims of a rift with former teammate Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
Reports indicating of a possible fall out had started doing the rounds after Tendulkar did not appear at Dravid's felicitation.
Dravid, who had been involved in several great partnerships with Tendulkar came out in an outright denial of the reports, saying that such claims had no substance and were created purely due to media hype.
"People are talking rubbish. Sachin and I are very good friends, and everything is just fine. Any assumption about my differences with Sachin is media hype", said Dravid at a promotional event in Jaipur. Dravid was accompanied by Rajasthan Royals' teammates Ajinkya Rahane, Stuart Binny, Amit Singh, Abhishek Raut at the event.
The Wall made it clear that Tendulkar had spoken to him before leaving for London to have his toe checked.
Rahul Dravid was felicitated by the BCCI on March 27 in the presence of eminent cricketers and personalities for his immense contribution to the Indian team in his 16 years of international cricket.
Dravid, though retired from international cricket, will play the fifth edition of the Indian Premier with the Rajasthan Royals. The veteran batsman was named as the captain, coach and mentor of the franchise.
