# Taufeeq Umar (58 off 113 balls) has posted his 13th fifty in Tests - his first against England.
# Taufeeq is averaging 35.09 at neutral venues- 737 runs in eleven Tests, including a career-best 236 against Sri Lanka at Abu Dhabi in October 2011.
# Misbah-ul-Haq (52) has registered his 15th fifty in Tests - his first against England.
# Misbah-ul-Haq, during the course of his aforesaid innings, has completed his 1,000 runs as captain in Tests, aggregating 1037 runs at an average of 74.07 in 13 Tests. His tally includes one century and eleven fifties.
# The six Pakistani captains with 1,000 runs or more in Tests are - Imran Khan(2408), Inzamam-ul-Haq (2397), Javed Miandad (2354), Salim Malik (1047), Misbah-ul-Haq (1037) and Mushtaq Mohammad (1035).
# The top three run-scorers for Pakistan in Tests since January 2011 - Taufeeq Umar (889 at an average of 46.78), Misbah-ul-Haq (817 at an average of 68.08) and Younis Khan (802 at an average of 80.20)
# Misbah-ul-Haq, in the course of his 52, has completed his 2,000 runs in Tests, aggregating 2045 runs at an average of 46.47 in 32 Tests.
# Mohammad Hafeez and Taufeeq Umar were associated in an opening partnership of 114 - Pakistan's fifth highest against England - the highest is 173 between Mohsin Khan and Shoaib Mohammad at Lahore in March 1984.
# Mohammad Hafeez (88) has recorded his second fifty against England - his first was 95 at The Oval in August 2006.
# Hafeez's second fifty in succession against England is seventh in Tests.
# Hafeez's excellent 88 off 164 balls is his highest in eleven innings at neutral venues, eclipsing the 75 against Sri Lanka at Abu Dhabi in October last year.
