New Delhi: England team management has barred James Anderson from doing commentary for the Sky television ahead of their series against Pakistan.
Anderson, who was rested for the recently concluded India ODI series, took up commentary assignment for Sky for the series.
According to a report in The Telegraph, Anderson will not be doing commentary while he has the central contract. "Which of his opinions attracted the ire of the England and Wales Cricket Board is not known but James Anderson will not be airing them on TV again, at least not while he has a central contract," the report said.
"The move follows Andy Flower's criticism of players making public their views about team-mates. Flower is already on record over his disapproval of Graeme Swann's recent book The Breaks Are Off in which Swann revealed some candid, and fairly unflattering, thoughts on Kevin Pietersen and Samit Patel," it added.
England play Pakistan in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in January.
