Here are the statistical highlights of the fourth day of the second and final Test between India and Australia in Bangalore on Monday.

# With his superb double hundred against Australia, Sachin Tendulkar has equalled Virender Sehwag's Indian record of six such knocks in Tests.
# Only Sir Donald Bradman (12), Brian Lara (9), Wally Hammond (7) and Kumar Sangakkara (7) have recorded more double centuries than Tendulkar.  
# Tendulkar has registered one double century each against Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and two against Australia.
# With Harbhajan's catch, Ricky Ponting is the first  fielder to complete 30 catches for Australia against India, surpassing Mark Waugh's tally of 29.
# Shane Watson, with 270 runs at an average of 67.50, including one century and two fifties, is the leading run-scorer for Australia so far in the series.
# For the first time in a Test match in India, Ricky Ponting has registered two fifties - 77 & 72. 
# Ponting has recorded another first, posting three fifty-plus knocks in a Test series in India for the first time.  In the first innings of the Mohali Test, he had registered 71.
# Ricky Ponting (2011) is the first Australian and the third player after Clive Lloyd and Javed Miandad to amass 2,000 runs against India.
# Ponting is the third player to complete 2,000 runs or more against three nations, joining Clive Lloyd (vs. England, Australia and India) and  Sunil Gavaskar (England, West Indies and Pakistan).
# Ponting has recorded 2030 against South Africa and 2363 against England.
# Ponting's fifth fifty in India is his 55th overall.  In all, he has nine fifties to his credit against India.
# Just before his dismissal, Michael Hussey has completed his 20,000 first-class runs, aggregating 20005 at an average of 52.64 in 237 games. 
# India (495) have posted their highest total at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
# Nathan Hauritz is the first Australian bowler to concede 150 runs in an innings at Bangalore.
# Tendulkar is the third Indian player to record a double hundred at Bangalore, joining Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly.
# Pakistan's Younus Khan - 267 off 504 balls in March 2005 - is the only batsman to post a double hundred against India at this venue.
# Wally Hammond's feat of four double hundreds against Australia is extraordinary. Brian Lara has posted three while South Africa's Graeme Pollock, India's VVS Laxman and Tendulkar have recorded two double centuries each against Australia.
# Peter George is the third Australian to capture Sachin Tendulkar's wicket as his first on Test debut, joining Cameron White (Bangalore 2008-09) and Peter Siddle (Mohali 2008-09)

# Twenty six leg byes were witnessed in India's total of 495 - a record for India in Tests. This is also the highest tally for Australia in Tests.  In West Indies' total of 509 at Bridgetown in April 1984, Australia had conceded 25 leg byes.
