CLT20 opener gets better TRP than last year
The inaugural match of the CLT20 has seen a major jump in terms of viewership as compared to the first game of last year's edition held in India.

The first match between Mumbai Indian and Highveld Lions has been rated 56 per cent higher than first encounter last year, according to aMap ratings.
The Twenty20 game on Friday garnered a combined TVR of 1.56 as it was telecast concurrently on STAR Cricket and STAR Sports.
Last year, the inaugural match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Cape Cobras had scored 1 on aMap ratings. The opening match was seen by 6.2 million viewers on STAR Cricket, 1.1 million on STAR Sports and 1.8 million on Disney XD vis-a-vis last year wherein the opening match was watched by 5.8mn viewers, a release said, on Saturday.
The overall viewership for Friday's Mumbai-Lions match was primarily driven by STAR Cricket - of 1.44 TVR, they contributed 1.31 TVR while STAR Sports contributed 0.13 TVR. In addition, the simulcast of the match on Disney XD rated 0.12 TVR, the release added.
"In the days to follow, we except better build up of all matches which should lead to further increase in ratings for the Airtel Champions League Twenty20," aMap vice-President Jiniti Shah said.
Executive Vice-President - Ad Sales and New Media, ESPN Software India Pvt Ltd, Sanjay Kailash said, "It is a good start and I expect that the momentum will continue to build up over the next 15 days."
