Here are the statistical highlights of the fifth day's play of the third Test between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo.
# Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman have added 109 for the fifth wicket - India's best against Sri Lanka at Colombo (PSS).
# Tendulkar has been involved in 77 century partnerships - a tally bettered only by Rahul Dravid (82) and Ricky Ponting (78).
# VVS Laxman's fourth Man of the Match award is his first against Sri Lanka. 
# After eight years, Laxman has been adjudged the Man of the Match in an overseas Test. His first MOM award away from home was against West Indies at Port of Spain in 2002 for posting 69 not out and 74, enabling India to register a 37-run triumph.
# Laxman's 16th Test century is his second against Sri Lanka - his ninth away from home.
# Laxman became the fourth Indian batsman to register a hundred for winning cause, joining  Gundappa Viswanath and Sunil Gavaskar - against West Indies at Port of Spain in 1975-76 and Sachin Tendulkar -  against England at Chennai in 2008-09.
# Laxman and Raina put on 87 (unbroken) - India's second highest for the sixth wicket at Colombo (PS) - the highest being the 90 between Mohinder Amarnath and Sunil Gavaskar in 1985.
# Suresh Raina has aggregated 223 in three innings at an average of 111.50 in his debut series - 223 in three innings, including one hundred and one fifty. He is the only Indian to have averaged 100 in the just concluded series.
# India's fourth win over Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka is their 35th away from home in 216 Tests (Lost 89 and Drawn 92).
# India's five-wicket victory is their first in four Tests at Colombo (PSS). India have recorded one win each at Colombo (SSC),  Kandy, Galle and Colombo (PSS).
# Sachin Tendulkar has amassed 390 at an average of 78.00 in the series - the most for India in the present series.
# Tendulkar is the first player in Test Cricket to have posted fifty-plus in eight Tests in a row for the second time. He had first accomplished the feat between 2007 and 2008.
# Ishant Sharma's batting average of 25.00 (75 in five innings) is the best of his career in a series.
# Suraj Randiv (5/82) has recorded his first five-wicket haul in Tests, obliterating the 4 for 80 in the first innings of the just concluded Test.
# Randiv's excellent figures of 9 for 162 are the best by a Sri Lankan spinner against India at Colombo (PSS), surpassing the 8 for 137 by Ajantha Mendis in 2008.
# VVS Laxman has posted his first hundred in Sri Lanka, surpassing the 69 at Galle last month.
# Laxman's aforesaid hundred is his first in the fourth innings of a Test match, bettering the 74 against England at Lord's in July 2002.
# Laxman, for the first time, has registered a fifty and a hundred in a Test match against Sri Lanka - 56 & 103 not out.
# Virender Sehwag has got the Player of the series award for the fifth time - an Indian record.
# Tendulkar (54) has posted his 56th fifty in Tests - his sixth against Sri Lanka.
# In seven Tests played by him this year, Tendulkar has aggregated 867 runs at an average of 86.70, including five centuries and two fifties - the most by any batsman in 2010.
