Colombo:Here are the statistical highlights of the final day's play of the second Test between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo.
<li> For the first time, Ajantha Mendis (63) has bowled 60 overs or more in an innings, eclipsing his figures against Pakistan at Karachi in February 2009 - 59-14-157-1.
<li> Suraj Randiv (73-16-222-2), in India's record overseas total of 707, has conceded 222 runs - the most by any bowler in his debut innings in Tests.
<li> Kumar Sangakkara's runs' tally of 261 (219 + 42 not out) is the best by a Sri Lankan skipper in a Test match against India.
<li> Sangakkara has received his 11th Man of the Match award in Tests - his second against India.
<li> The Colombo (SSC) Test is the 15th instance of a drawn game between Sri Lanka and India.
<li> The Test has produced 1478 runs for the loss of 17 wickets - the second highest between the two countries in Sri Lanka - the highest being the 1489 at Colombo (RPS) in August 1997.
<li> India (707) have posted their highest total on foreign soil, outstripping the 705 for seven wickets declared against Australia at Sydney in January 2004.
<li> India's aforesaid total is their second best in Tests - the highest being the 726 for 9 wickets declared against Sri Lanka at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai last year.
<li> India have taken 225.2 overs to register their aforesaid total - their longest innings away from home in terms of overs faced.
<li> Sangakkara has averaged 71.81 in 10 Tests as captain, aggregating 1149 runs, including five hundreds and two fifties. Amongst the skippers with 1,000 runs or more, only Sir Donald Bradman has averaged more than Sangakkara - 101.51 - 3147 in only 38 innings (24 Tests).
