New Delhi:Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi on Sunday lashed out at state officials in Jaipur for harassing Rajasthan Royals team management by locking their temporary office at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
RR had threatened to shift the IPL matches in Jaipur after the western block of the stadium which housed their temporary office was found locked on Friday by Rajasthan State Sports Council employees ahead of today's match against Mumbai Indians.
"Top officials of RR were detained by authorities for most of the day yesterday. Why? Tickets -- they are quite shaken up. Very sad. Very annoying for our fans that the people in charge at Jaipur treat people this way both our franchise and fans," Modi wrote on his Twitter page.
Modi expressed concern over the issue of black marketing of IPL tickets.
"We would like to ask for suggestions -- how does one curb black marketing of tickets. We want to find a solution. Please suggest," he said.
He asked the people of Jaipur to mail him if they have been forced to buy tickets in the black market.
