Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey have shared a 74-run partnership - Bangalore's best for the opening wicket in the IPL, surpassing the 69 between Kallis and Shreevats Goswami against Kolkata at Durban on April 29, 2009.
With Yuvraj Singh's wicket, Dale Steyn has completed his 50 wickets (ave.23.32) in 46 matches in Twenty 20.
Robin Uthappa has posted a 19-ball fifty - the fastest in the 2009-10 edition and the second quickest in the IPL. Adam Gilchrist's 17-ball fifty for Deccan against Delhi on May 22,2009 is the fastest.
Kallis and Uthappa were involved in a second wicket stand of 69 - Bangalore's best against Punjab, outstripping the 42 between Jesse Ryder and Kallis at Durban on April 24, 2009.
Ravi Bopara's 77 off 50 balls is his second highest innings in the IPL - the highest being 84 against Bangalore at Durban on April 24, 2009.
Bopara's aforesaid knock is his third half-century in the IPL. He became the first player to post two successive fifties in the third edition of the IPL.
Bopara has aggregated 133 (ave.66.50) in two innings in the 2009-10 edition.
Thirteen sixes were registered by Bangalore in their first ever total of 204 for two - the highest in an innings by them in IPL.
Kings XI Punjab became the second team after Rajasthan Royals to have lost both the matches in the 2009-10 edition of the IPL.
Bangalore's 204 for two is their best total in the IPL, surpassing the 181 for five against Delhi at Delhi on April 30, 2008.
Bangalore's aforesaid score is the highest total by team batting second & winning in the 2010 edition.
Punjab (203 for three) have posted their highest total against Bangalore in the IPL.
Punjab (203 for three) have their highest total away from away, surpassing the 189 for four against Mumbai at Mumbai on May 21, 2008.
Manvinder Sultansingh Bisla (75 off 51 balls) has posted his second fifty in Twenty20, emulating his highest innings. Bisla's said innings is his first fifty in the IPL.
Bisla and Ravi Bopara have registered Punjab's second best stand for the first wicket in the IPL - their highest is 133 between Shaun Marsh and James Hopes against Rajasthan at Mohali on May 28, 2008.
The aforesaid partnership is Punjab's best for any wicket against Bangalore, surpassing the unbroken 102 (second wicket) between Shaun Marsh and Luke Pomersbach at Mohali on May 12, 2008.
Both the Punjab openers have recorded 75 or more in the same innings - a first in the IPL. The said instance is the third when both the opening batsmen have posted fifties in the same IPL innings for Punjab.
Jacques Kallis has completed his 700 runs in the IPL - 714 at an average of 29.75, including six fifties, in 28 matches.
Kallis' excellent unbeaten knock of 89 is his highest score in Twenty20 - his 11th fifty.
Kallis has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the third time - the most for Bangalore.
