New Delhi:The Champions League T20 tournament could be shifted to foreign soil, Lalit Modi said.
The major reason for the consideration of change in venue is the weather. The T20 tournament is scheduled to be played in September when its monsoon in India.
"Champions League is an international tournament. So it is not necessary for it to be played on Indian soil," Champions League Chairman Lalit Modi said.
The dates of the event cannot be changed either, courtesy the already packed international schedule.
South Africa, which hosted the second edition of the Indian Premier League, is most likely to host the extravaganza for they would not want the million-dollar tournament to be 'washed away'.
