Kolkata:
He is a frustrated man. He conceded 166 runs from 46 overs in Nagpur at an economy rate of 3.6. And even worse he had only one maiden compared to 19 in the match for Paul Harris.
Since the Test series versus Sri Lanka where he was India's top wicket-taker, Bhajji has had some serious blues versus Bangladesh and now against South Africa. He doesn't seem worried but the statistics are very worrying.
Harbhajan has played 7 Tests in India since Anil Kumble retired in 2008 and he's not got a single fiver in those games, certainly not what you expect from the Turbanator given his overall record which includes 23 five-wicket hauls in his 347 wickets.
Certainly Eden Gardens is his favourite ground considering his hat-trick exploits against Australia here in 2001 and Bhajji will be hoping to get friendly conditions consiering the curator got a request for a rank turner.
"It will be a result oriented pitch," pitch curator Prabir Mukherjee said.
Curators have a way of making thier pitches sound ever so perfect though that isn't always the case given what happened in Kotla! So as our expert Ajay Jadeja said we want a rank turner in Kolkata to square the series but then we need India to win the toss because pitches that assist spinners can often work very well for fast bowlers like Dale Styen as we saw in Nagpur.
