Indian Premier League franchise outfit Kings XI Punjab, to be led by Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara in the third edition of the cash-rich event, has roped in Chandrabhan Tiwari as its new General Manager (Marketing).

Tiwari has joined the IPL franchise from Silvol India, where he was Vice-president of sales and marketing, a media release said here on Wednesday.

At KXIP he will be responsible for planning and execution of all the marketing activities and promotions at a regional, national and international level, it said.

"I really look forward to grow and cement Kings XI Punjab's leadership in the cricket domain and build a huge fan base of KXIP loyalists through various innovative promotions and initiatives intended for cricket lovers in India," Tiwari said about his new assignment.

The franchise is owned by a consortium that includes industrialists Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia and leading Bollywood actor Preity Zinta.
