Sydney:Pakistan are in a complete control of the second Test in Sydney though Australia finished the third day with an 80-run lead with just 2 wickets in hand.
The Australians went to stumps on Tuesday at 286 for eight with Mike Hussey unbeaten on 73 alongside Peter Siddle on 10.
Leg spinner Danish Kaneria, who took four wickets, did most of the damage removing Marcus North (2), Brad Haddin (15) and Mitchell Johnson (3).
Pakistan have not beaten Australia in a Test match since 1995.
However it was more than cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground as Tuesday was declared as Jane McGrath Day at the SCG in honour of retired fast bowling great Glenn McGrath's late wife. Jane, who long suffered breast cancer, had died in 2008.
The McGrath Foundation was set up to fight breast cancer. The historic Ladies Stand was temporarily renamed as the "Jane McGrath Stand" and large part of the crowd donned pink shirts and bandannas to support the cause.
Last year AUS$580,000 was raised during the game here against South Africa, helping the number of breast care nurses at the foundation rise from seven to 53. Second Test between Australia and Pakistan is helping the Foundation.
Shane Watson and his fiance Lee Furlong are supporting the cause which they find very close to their hearts - they are the proud ambassadors of McGrath Foundation. Watson and Furlong, the Fox Sports commentator, are set to marry in May.
