Batsmen playing different Tests at different parts of the world hit as many as 27 centuries in the month.
New Delhi: November this year has been an incredible month for Test batsmen around the world. After all, when 27 centuries are hit in a span of 30 days, it should come as little surprise that the bowlers were made to struggle while batsmen, in general, had a jolly good time.
The 27 Test centuries in November includes five double hundreds considering the Tests between India-England, Australia-South Africa, Sri Lanka-New Zealand and Bangladesh-West Indies. Add as many as 28 Test fifties to the mix and it underlines the point that runs have been scored galore this month.
In all, 9257 runs were scored while 253 wickets were claimed. There were fourteen 5-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket spells.
Interestingly, five centuries were scored on the same day - November 25. (Read report here)
