New Delhi:
Former world chess champion Vishwanathan Anand was in New Delhi today to launch a mind chess champions academy along with his sponsors NIIT. Anand says he's excited about helping produce more chess champions from India. But right now, he's also excited about being part of the Rest of the World team that beat Russia in a match of the century contest in Moscow this week. aWe won because we played brilliantly and they are already asking for a revenge match. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in Moscow because itas such a chess-centric place. After the celebrations we had a press conference. The journalists finished their questions really quick but these Russian ladies kept telling us that though you beat Russia you all have learnt your chess from Russian schools. That was really nice,a said Anand.Topics mentioned in this article
