It was a good day for the Indian teams in the Champions League T20 2012 as both Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders posted wins. For the former it was a hunt for a last four spot while the latter regained some lost pride in a dismal campaign.
Contributions from Shaun Marsh and Simon Katich gave the Perth Scorchers hope against the Delhi Daredevils in Cape Town.
Disciplined bowling from Ajit Agarkar and Morne Morkel however restricted them to a mere 121/5 in 20 overs.
Virender Sehwag came to the party with a 44 ball 52 and had a huge role to play as Delhi scraped home with 3 wickets in hand and 3 balls to spare.
In the second match it was Debabrata Das who provided the finishing touches for Kolkata Knight Riders hitting 43 not out from 19 balls to put up an imposing 188/5 against Nashua Titans.
Lakshmipathy Balaji bowled his team to victory scalping 4 wickets as the Titans were skittled out for 89. The 99 run victory was a consolation win for Kolkata as they go home with one win from 4 games.
