New York:
Felix Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins will face each other for the undisputed World Middleweight Title Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The fight, originally scheduled for September 15, was delayed after the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. on September 11. Boxer Felix Trinidad and promoter Don King paid their respects at a firehouse in Manhattan where several firefighters lost their lives at the World Trade Center disaster on September 11 where over 300 firefighters and emergency services workers died. "We're always going to remember the heroes of 9/11 and that will be our rallying cry when we go out against the enemy. We're not going to just try to fight the terrorists, we're going to try to stop them in their tracks. We can't quit now and these great men can not have died in vain," said Don King, boxing promoter. Trinidad signed autographs and posed with fire fighters for pictures. Meanwhile Trinidad's opponent, Bernard Hopkins was busy training at Philadelphia. "I'm prepared to go 12, I'm prepared to go five. I would love to go 2. The less I'm in the ring, the less I give him the chance to strike me or to win. I'm prepared. I'm prepared to go and fight, whatever happens between one and 12 - I'm ready for it. I don't want it to go 12 but I'm ready for it," said Bernard Hopkins. The rescheduled fight for the undisputed Middleweight Title will take place this Saturday.Topics mentioned in this article
