Mumbai:
India's upcoming shuttler Saina Nehwal said on Monday that she had put up a good fight in the final of the World Junior Badminton Championship but her opponent's technical superiority cost her the title. "I was tired but my game was excellent. Wang caught me more on the rallies and her deep strokes were very effective. I could have played much better," Saina told NDTV after her arrival from South Korea. The 16-year-old Hyderabadi girl said she had never thought she would play the finals. "All the competitors were really good," she said. Saina will next be seen in action in the upcoming Seniors Asian Satellite Tournament in Mumbai from November 14 and will then lead India's charge at the Doha Asiad from December 1 to 15. "I am quite well prepared...will have to work hard for the senior events as all the senior players will be coming. It will be a tough competition. I am prepared and hope to do well," she said.Topics mentioned in this article
