London:IAAF president Lamine Diack has called off a visit to South Africa to discuss the results of Caster Semenya's gender verification tests.
Diack had planned to travel to South Africa this weekend, but the International Association of Athletics Federations said Friday he has decided to attend a sports summit in Russia instead.
IAAF spokesman Nick Davies says the trip to South Africa may take place at a later date.
The 18-year-old Semenya won the women's 800 meters at the world championships in Berlin in August.
The IAAF ordered gender tests on Semenya before the final and has not yet decided whether she can continue competing as a woman.
Davies says the IAAF wants to compare its test results with those conducted in South Africa on August 7.
