Fans from both India and Bangladesh took something from the Asia Cup match on Friday. Despite Sachin Tendulkar's 100th ton, cricket is a team sport and the hosts at Mirpur stood firm to this belief. A look at the 5-wicket win for Bangladesh. (AFP and AP images)
The day began with India being asked to bat and Sachin leading from the front to reach a brilliant milestone.
It was a huge total on a slow track but Tamim Iqbal gave his team the perfect start. His 70 was the top-score in the chase.
The run-rate may have been on the slower side in the beginning but Nasir Hossain at the other end, ensured that wickets were not gifted away. He scored 54.
There was some success for India as Ravindra Jadeja and Praveen Kumar picked four between them but the twist was yet to come.
Jahurul Islam (in pic) hit a fifty and Shakib-al-Hasan missed it by just one as Bangladesh propelled forward in the death overs.
The hosts eventually spanked India for sixes at will and took the match with four balls left to be bowled. This was Bangladesh's third win against India in ODIs.
